One brand, three distilleries
The Singleton is not one distillery. Instead, it is a Diageo brand name for single malts from three distilleries: Glen Ord, Glendullan and Dufftown. Diageo describes a shared house style. It uses a long 75-hour fermentation, slow distillation, and American and European oak casks. The goal is a smooth, balanced malt with citrus, vanilla and honey.
Each distillery first served its own market. According to ScotchWhisky.com, Diageo launched The Singleton in 2006, starting with Glen Ord. Glen Ord went to Asia. Then Glendullan went to the US and Canada, while Dufftown stayed in Europe. Today the lines blur a little. Still, that early split explains the Singleton price in Malaysia, and why our shelves carry Glen Ord.
| Distillery | Where | Original market | In Malaysia |
|---|---|---|---|
| Glen Ord | Muir of Ord, Black Isle, Highlands | Asia | Core range (12, 15, 18) |
| Dufftown | Dufftown, Speyside | Europe | Limited availability |
| Glendullan | Dufftown, Speyside | US and Canada | Seen at KLIA duty-free |
Glen Ord, home of the Malaysian Singleton
Glen Ord sits on the Black Isle, north-west of Inverness. Diageo says Thomas MacKenzie chose the site for his distillery in 1838. It is also one of the few Scotch distilleries that still malts its own barley, according to Moët Hennessy Diageo Hong Kong. Because demand grew so fast, Diageo doubled Glen Ord's capacity in 2014. Today the site also runs a visitor centre.
Singleton price Malaysia table (October 2026)
The table lists each Singleton found at Malaysian retailers. Online discounters may sell parallel-import or other-size bottles, so their prices are not always a fair match.
| Expression | Size | ABV | Typical price | Lowest seen* | Seen at |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dufftown 12 | 70cl | — | RM175 | – | Mr Chow (online discounter) only |

Typical price is the range at mainstream Malaysian retailers for a standard 70cl or 75cl bottle, checked in October 2026. *Lowest seen is the cheapest online discounter listing. It may be a different bottle size or parallel-import stock. Prices change often, so confirm with the retailer before you buy.
Importantly, the Dufftown 12, 15 and 18 appeared only at one online discounter. So treat them as limited availability. Jaya Grocer lists "Singleton 12, 15 and 18 Years" without naming the distillery. Its prices sit in the Glen Ord range, though, so check the label before you pay.
Singleton of Glen Ord range in Malaysia
These notes follow the brand's own descriptions in short form. All three are bottled at 40%.
Singleton of Glen Ord 12 (RM316–RM357)
The entry bottle, the easiest to find, and the lowest Singleton price in Malaysia. It is light and smooth, yet still full on the palate.
Fruity, with citrus and vanilla.
Light and smooth, yet full, with silky honey.
A little spice first, then soft and sweet.
Singleton of Glen Ord 15 (RM409–RM465)
Richer and more complex than the 12, with a hint of melon. It opens up slowly, so give it a few minutes in the glass.
Rich fruit, with a hint of melon.
Complex and confident, with honey and vanilla.
Slow and elegant.
Singleton of Glen Ord 18 (RM563–RM663)
Darker in colour and deeper in flavour, but less spicy than the 12. It shows the distillery style at its most mature. For an 18 year old malt, this Singleton price in Malaysia is also good value.
Deeper and more mature fruit than the 12.
Rich and mellow, with less spice.
Long and smooth.
Singleton of Dufftown and Glendullan
Dufftown is the Singleton most Europeans know. Its current 12, 15 and 18 carry the tags Luscious Nectar, Fruity Decadence and Sublimely Smooth. In Malaysia, however, we found them at only one online discounter. If you see a Dufftown bottle on a shelf, it is likely a parallel import. So its Singleton price in Malaysia may not match the mainstream range.
Glendullan is rarer still. Our check found no regular shop stock. However, Eraman's KLIA duty-free catalogue listed The Singleton Glendullan 12YO at RM282 for a 1L bottle in October 2026. Our KLIA duty-free guide covers the allowance rules.

Where to buy Singleton in Malaysia
whisky.my and W Wine & Liquor Warehouse both list the Glen Ord 12, 15 and 18. Jaya Grocer also sells all three online. For more shops and delivery options, read our guide on where to buy whisky in Malaysia.
How to drink Singleton
The 12 works well neat, with a splash of water, or in a highball with soda and ice. Try the 15 and 18 neat in a tulip glass, so you catch more of the aroma. Our whisky glasses guide explains why shape matters, and how to drink whisky covers water and ice.
How Singleton compares on price
On the whole, the Singleton price in Malaysia makes it one of the cheaper ways into aged single malt. For example, the Glen Ord 12 costs about the same as a Glenfiddich 12. It costs a bit more than a Glen Grant 10. If you like the smooth, fruity style, also try Glenlivet. For a wider view, see our list of the best single malts in Malaysia, or our single malt whisky guide.
Prices change with promotions, stock and exchange rates. Treat these ranges as a guide and confirm the current price with the retailer.
