Jim Beam price Malaysia list (October 2026)

We checked eight sources for White Label, so the Jim Beam price in Malaysia below reflects real shop listings. Black and Honey have fewer sellers.

Typical price is the range at mainstream Malaysian retailers for a standard 70cl or 75cl bottle, checked in October 2026. *Lowest seen is the cheapest online discounter listing. It may be a different bottle size or parallel-import stock. Prices change often, so confirm with the retailer before you buy.

White Label and Honey start at the same price, while Black has the widest spread. So it pays to shop around for Black. Also note that online discounters may list much lower prices, such as RM100 for White Label. However, those bottles may be parallel imports or a different size, so check before you compare.

One gap stands out. We did not find Jim Beam Devil's Cut at any Malaysian retailer we checked. If you see it, it is likely a one-off import, so ask the seller where the stock came from.

The Beam family story

The Beam family has made whiskey in Kentucky for more than two centuries. Jacob Beam sold his first barrels around 1795. Later, his descendant James B. "Jim" Beam rebuilt the distillery in 1933–1934, after Prohibition ended. In 1943 the bourbon took his name. Today Fred Noe, a seventh-generation Beam, is the master distiller.

The main distillery sits in Clermont, Kentucky. In 2014 Japan's Suntory bought Beam, and the group now trades as Suntory Global Spirits. Even so, a member of the Beam family still leads the distilling.

How Jim Beam is made

Like all bourbon, Jim Beam starts with a mash of mostly corn, plus rye and malted barley. The brand uses limestone-filtered water, which is common in Kentucky. After distilling, the spirit goes into new charred oak barrels. White Label then ages for four years, twice what the law asks of a straight bourbon. Our bourbon whiskey guide explains the rules in more detail.

The Jim Beam range in Malaysia

Three bottles make up what Malaysian shops stock. Here is how they differ, with tasting notes based on the brand's own descriptions. Each Jim Beam price in Malaysia comes from the table above.

Jim Beam White Label

White Label is the flagship bottle. It sits at 40% ABV and tastes light, sweet and easy. While it is fine neat, it really shines in a highball or with cola.

Nose

Oaky vanilla with a spicy backdrop.

Palate

Medium body, with mellow caramel and vanilla.

Finish

Caramel, oak and a hint of spice.

Jim Beam Black (Extra Aged)

Jim Beam Black spends longer in the barrel than White Label. As a result, it has more body and deeper oak. The Malaysian bottle reads "Extra Aged" and comes at 43% ABV. It makes a better Old Fashioned than White Label, and it also stands up to sipping.

Nose

Charred oak, brown sugar and vanilla.

Palate

Full bodied, with rich caramel and baking spice.

Finish

Warm and oaky.

Jim Beam Honey

Jim Beam Honey mixes honey liqueur with Jim Beam bourbon. Malaysian listings show 32.5% to 35% ABV, so it is lighter than White Label. It is sweet and soft, which suits people who find straight bourbon too sharp. At RM179–RM200, the Jim Beam Honey price in Malaysia starts level with White Label.

Nose

Sweet wood and a hint of vanilla.

Palate

Floral honey over soft bourbon.

Finish

Smooth and mellow.

Where to buy Jim Beam in Malaysia

White Label is easy to find. We saw it at whisky.my, W Wine & Liquor Warehouse, Jaya Grocer, Kanpai, Nomu, Blue Ocean and Goodstuff. Black is thinner on the ground, with listings at whisky.my, Blue Ocean and Nomu. For Honey, try whisky.my or Nomu. You must be 21 or older to buy alcohol in Malaysia.

How to drink Jim Beam

The highball is the easiest serve. Fill a tall glass with ice, add one part White Label, then top with three or four parts cold soda water. Stir once and add a lemon wedge. Because the soda lifts the vanilla notes, the drink stays light in Malaysian heat.

Jim Beam also works with cola or ginger ale. For a cocktail, try a Whiskey Sour or a Mint Julep. For example, the IBA Mint Julep uses 60 ml of bourbon, four mint sprigs, one teaspoon of powdered sugar and two teaspoons of water. Find more ideas in our whisky cocktails guide, and remember to pace yourself.

Jim Beam vs other bourbons

If you want a Tennessee twist, compare it with Jack Daniel's, where Old No.7 costs RM195–RM229. For a softer, wheat-based bourbon, try Maker's Mark at RM244–RM319. Still, for value, the Jim Beam price in Malaysia is hard to beat. New to the spirit? Our whisky for beginners list is a good place to start.
